Utah, Baby!
So, this is the first time I have ever been to Utah, and it is intriguingly mountainous. We traveled during the night and day yesterday, and that was a pretty new and fun experience in itself. Here’s a funny fact about bus traveling. We are not allowed to have any “solids” in our bus toilet. This includes toilet paper and all other things that aren’t liquid. So, it is pretty much understood that if you have to do more than make liquid, you ask the driver to stop. But we are all trained, at this point, in organizing our insides to arrive at the point when the driver makes a stop. SO, yesterday when we stopped for some lunch it was completely hysterical because all of us headed straight to the bathroom. Everyone knows what’s going to be going on inside, and I find that...mildly disturbing!
Anyway, after the lunch stop Moby grabbed the guitar and we created ditties about living in the Utah farmland. This translated into singing songs like Ramblin’ Man and “I got the Upper West Side Blues”, a Moby original. Daron pulled out his blues harmonica and suddenly the bus had been transformed into the sidewalks of New Orleans! After Daron’s wailing, Moby decided to include him in the set tonight, playing the harmonica! This show is getting serious now!
Tonight’s Salt Lake City and tomorrow Vegas baby!
Love!!
